Jay Munton & his band perform a wide range of music – from vintage rock and country to folk and soul in Annapolis, Baltimore and throughout Anne Arundel County.

Jay Munton & Joe Dyson have more than 25 years of off-and-on musical collaboration. They have been playing together in the Baltimore-Annapolis area for the past three years.

From their young days in the 1970's to their versatile guitar and singing today, they are popular with audiences of all ages.

"We have been told our sound is so full with just the two of us, it is like listening to a full band without the loud volume that drums can bring to a room.

"You can have a conversation and still enjoy the music."

Jay and Joe occasionally invite guest players and have even been known to put together a full band when the occasion calls. They shape their performances to the venue. They even do a few instrumentals.

"We feel it is important to connect with the folks who are there to have a few drinks, be with friends and listen to music," says Jay.

"We strive to satisfy all musical tastes so if someone has a request and we don't know that song, we ask them to please write it on a piece of paper and we'll learn it for our return engagement. We are always learning new material and open to new ideas."
